This article was previously published under Q221490

SYMPTOMS

When you publish a Microsoft Excel workbook as a Web page, there is no option to publish the entire workbook.

That is, you click Save as Web Page on the File menu, and click Publish in the Save As dialog box. In the Choose list, you can only select previously published items, items on a sheet, or a range of cells.

WORKAROUND

To save the entire workbook as a Web page, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Save as Web Page.
  2. In the Save as type list, click Web Page.
  3. In the Save As dialog box, under Save, click Entire Workbook.
  4. Click Save instead of Publish.

MORE INFORMATION

The Publish button in the Save As dialog box provides more control over the publishing of specific Microsoft Excel elements, such as a range of cells or a worksheet. It also allows for the republishing of previous published elements of a worksheet.
