SYMPTOMS

When you move the Temporary Internet Files folder using the Move Folder button in the Internet Options dialog box, the path to the new folder may appear to be truncated under "Temporary Internet files folder." For example, the drive letter, colon, and part of the backslash may be missing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs only if you install Internet Explorer 5 using the browser-only installation method.
