WD2000: Table Contents Disappear After Selecting "Allow Spacing Between Cells" (220569)

After you select the Allow spacing between cells check box, the contents of your table may disappear.
CAUSE
This problem occurs after you format your table with one of the following Table AutoFormat styles and then select the Allow spacing between cells check box:
Simple 1 Simple 3 Classic 1
Classic 2 Classic 3 Classic 4
Colorful 1 Colorful 2 Columns 1
Columns 2 Columns 4 List 1
List 2 List 3 List 4
List 5 List 6 List 7
3D effects 1 3D effects 2 3D effects 3
Subtle 2
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
Method 1: Change the Amount of Spacing Between Cells
Specify a value of 0" for the amount of spacing between cells. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click inside the table.
- On the Table menu, click Table Properties and then click the Table tab.
- Click Options.
- In the Default cell spacing section, select the Allow spacing between cells check box, and type or select 0" in the Cell spacing box.
- Click OK.
Method 2: Use a Different Table AutoFormat
Use one of the following Table AutoFormats:
Simple 2 Colorful 3 Columns 3
Columns 5 Grid 1 Grid 2
Grid 3 Grid 4 Grid 5
Grid 6 Grid 7 Grid 8
List 8 Contemporary Elegant
Professional Subtle 1 Web 1
Web 2 Web 3
To autoformat your Word table, do the following:
- Click inside your table.
- On the Table menu, click Table AutoFormat.
- In the Table AutoFormat dialog box, click to select the table formatting you want, and then click OK.
