SYMPTOMS

When you save a document containing a bordered picture as Word 6.0/95 (*.doc), the border around the picture may be lost or changed to a different border style.

NOTE: This problem does not occur with any of the following border styles:
  • Solid Line
  • Dotted
  • Wide Dash
  • Double Line
The following border styles change to the Solid Line border style:
  • Dash Dot
  • Dash Dot Dot

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
