WD2000: Underline Beneath Field Different from Underline Beneath Text (220398)

When you have items in a file that are underlined and preceded by an AUTONUM field and you print the file, the underline beneath the AUTONUM field is positioned differently from the underline beneath your text. When you view the file in print preview or print layout view, the underline may appear normally.
This problem may appear with other fields, such as the MACROBUTTON field or the SYMBOL field, when the font size varies between the field and the surrounding text.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you use a different font for the text than for the AUTONUM field.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, apply the same font to both the AUTONUM field and the text following it.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
