WD2000: How Frame Pages and Associated Frame Files Are Saved (220306)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 2000

This article was previously published under Q220306

SYMPTOMS

When you save a Web page document in Microsoft Word, and the Web page is a frames page, the location to which both the frames page and associated frames documents are saved may appear inconsistent.

When you format a frame in a frames page in Microsoft Word 2000, and you click Link to file, the frame is always saved to the specified location. When you do not click Link to file in a frame, and you save the Web page to a different location, a copy of the frame is made and saved in the same location as the frames page.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
