WD2000: Some Table Borders Disappear When Table Is Pasted As Object or Picture (220234)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q220234 SYMPTOMS
When you paste a Word table as a Microsoft Word document object or as a picture, some of the table borders may not be visible. The number and location of borders that disappear vary, based on zoom percentage and video resolution.
NOTE: This is a display-only problem and does not affect the printed output of your Word table.
CAUSE
When the Word table is pasted as a Microsoft Word document object or as a picture, it may be scaled to the area into which it is being pasted. Thinner borders (for example, 1/2 pt borders) may disappear or not be visible.
WORKAROUND
To make the Word table borders visible, change the zoom setting in Microsoft Word. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the View menu, click Zoom.
- In the Zoom dialog box, click a percentage of zoom that is greater than your current zoom setting, and then click OK.
For example, click 100% or 150%.
NOTE: The right border of the table still may not be visible on your screen, but it appears when the file is printed.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
