WD2000: E-Mail Signature Placed Before Stationery Text (220202)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages, and
  • In Microsoft Outlook you create a new message using stationery (on the Actions menu, point to New Mail Message Using and then click More Stationery) -and-

  • You have an e-mail signature
the e-mail signature is inserted above the stationery text.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you can move the e-mail signature before sending the message.

To move the e-mail signature, do the following:

  1. Select your e-mail signature.

    NOTE: The e-mail signature is an AutoTextList field.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Cut.
  3. Place your insertion point at the location in your e-mail message where you want to place the e-mail signature.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Paste.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
