FP2000: Cannot Save Thumbnail If Page Has Base Tag (220053)

When you use the AutoThumbnail option on an image on a page that has a base URL, the following message may appear:
Because this page has a base URL set, you will need to save any new or changed images to the base web as a separate step.
You are not able to save the image.
RESOLUTION
In order for AutoThumbnail to function correctly on this page, remove the
base URL from the page.
Also, when you place an image from outside the current Web and then apply the AutoThumbnail option, you are prompted to save the image.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
