SYMPTOMS

When you turn off JavaScript technology on the Compatibility tab, Dynamic HTML effects are not turned off.

CAUSE

The Dynamic HTML option on the Compatibility tab is not a sub-option of the JavaScript option, unlike CSS 2.0 (positioning), which is a sub-option of CSS 1.0 (formatting).

RESOLUTION

You must clear the Dynamic HTML check box to prevent DHTML effects from being used on Web pages.

STATUS
