  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

This article was previously published under Q219698

SYMPTOMS

When you specify a cell width on a table but no table width, the table will collapse to equal portion sizes of the columns.

Although the table appears collapsed or appears to use equal sized cells, it displays differently in your Web browser.

CAUSE

If the total width specified is greater than 100 percent, FrontPage displays the page differently in Normal view than the view in your Web browser.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, you must set the total width of your table to less than 100 percent. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Select the cells in your table.
  2. Right-click the highlighted cells, and click Distribute Columns Evenly.
  3. Save the page, and preview it in your Web browser.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
