FP2000: Text Box from Data Access Page Appears As Scrolling Text Box (219672)

When you use Microsoft Access to create a field with the text box property in a Data Access Page and then open the page in FrontPage 2000, the text box is converted to a scrolling text box.
CAUSE
When creating the Data Access Page, Microsoft Access inserts a TEXTAREA tag for the text box. Microsoft FrontPage 2000 renders the TEXTAREA tag as a scrolling text box.
RESOLUTION
When you open an Office document in FrontPage, allow the originating application to open it.
To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- In the Options dialog box, click the General tab.
- In the Startup section, select the Check if Office is the default editor for pages created in Office check box.
- Click OK.
