FP2000: Edit from Browser Does Not Open Current Document (219665)

When you browse to the home page of a web without specifying the name of the specific HTML document (Default.htm) and you click Edit with Microsoft FrontPage on the toolbar of Internet Explorer 5, the page that is currently open is not opened in FrontPage.
RESOLUTION
To have the specific home page opened in FrontPage 2000 when the web is opened, specify the name of the default document. To do this, follow these steps:
- In Internet Explorer, add the file name of the default page to the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in the Address box.
For example, if the Address box contains the following URL:
Add the name of the default document to this URL. The new URL will be similar to the following:
http://<servername>/Default.htm
- Press ENTER.
The same page should be displayed in your web browser. - Click Edit With Microsoft FrontPage on the toolbar.
FrontPage starts and opens the web and the specific web page.
NOTE: You may be prompted for a user name and password. Type the correct user name and password for this server.
