Unable to Install Programs with Eudora Pro Installer (219268)

SYMPTOMS

When trying to install a program in the Eudora Pro Installer tool by double-clicking its icon in the list, the appropriate Setup program may not start.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are running Internet Explorer version 5. Internet Explorer version 5 installs a version of the Comctl32.dll file that is not totally compatible with the double-click functionality in the Eudora Pro Installer tool.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, do not double-click the program you want to install, instead, click the appropriate component in the Eudora Pro Installer tool, and then click Install.
