FP2000: Un-Paired Closing Tags are Removed (219168)

After you edit the HTML of a page and then make changes to the page in Normal view, FrontPage removes unpaired closing tags.
CAUSE
Anytime a document has unpaired closing tags and you edit the region which is before the closing block, FrontPage will rewrite the section of HTML according to your edits.
MORE INFORMATION
If you have left unmatched closing tags in the HTML code and then make changes in Normal view, FrontPage will remove the unnecessary closing tags.
If you edit in Normal view, FrontPage will regenerate the HTML tags of the affected region and will discard unpaired closing tags.
If you want the unpaired closing tag to remain, you will need to switch to Normal View, point to Advanced, and click HTML. In the HTML Markup box, you may type each closing tag you want to leave in the page, and click OK.
If you use this method, FrontPage will ignore the code that is inserted.
