FP2000: DHTML Animations Not Appearing on Page Load (219108)

SYMPTOMS

Text that is set to use DHTML Animations on the Page Load event is not visible when you view the page.

-or-

On pages that contain DHTML animations, a script error occurs when you view the page. When you view details of the script error, the error message is similar to the following:
Line: 25 Char: 1 Error: Object Expected Code: 0 URL: http://myweb/mypage.htm
NOTE: The error message may be different depending on your Web browser and the location of your Web page.

CAUSE

The file that contains the DHTML animation script (animate.js) has been deleted or moved from the Web.

RESOLUTION

To replace the missing animate.js file, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Resave the Page

To resave the page, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Page that contains the DHTML animation.
  2. On the File menu, click Save

Method 2: Re-Apply the DHTML animation

To reapply the DHTML animation, follow these steps:
  1. Open the page that contains the DHTML animation.
  2. Select the text or images that have the DHTML Animations applied to them.
  3. On the DHTML Effects toolbar, click Remove Effect.
  4. Save the page.
  5. Select the object that you want to apply the animation.
  6. On the DHTML Effects toolbar, apply the DHTML Effect.
  7. Save the page.
