FP2000: Prompted to Save Unused Embedded Files on Themed Page (219088)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

This article was previously published under Q219088

SYMPTOMS

After you save a page that has a theme, you are prompted to save Embedded Files.

Included in the list of embedded files to save are graphics for bullets and the horizontal rule graphic from the theme. These graphics are listed to save, even if there are no bullets or horizontal rules in the web page.

CAUSE

The bullet and horizontal rule images are used by the theme. By default, they will be saved to a location whenever the theme is used.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. When you are prompted to save embedded files, click to select a graphic that is not in the page. Example: a bullet graphic when you have not used bullets.
  2. Click Set Action.
  3. Click the "Do Not Save" option, and click OK.
  4. Repeat steps one through three for each graphic that is not in your web page.
  5. Click OK.
