DirectX Troubleshooter Displays Incorrect Troubleshooting Steps (218594)

When you use the Windows 98 DirectX Troubleshooter (which you can start
by clicking Troubleshoot on the More Info tab of the DirectX
Diagnostic Tool), incorrect troubleshooting steps may be displayed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use the Back button to navigate within the
troubleshooter.
RESOLUTION
To prevent this issue from occurring, do not use the Back button to
navigate within the troubleshooter.
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:
- Click the Start Over button to return to the opening page of
the troubleshooter.
- Quit and then restart the Troubleshooter.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.
