XCLN: Error Connecting to HP OpenMail Mailbox (217705)

SYMPTOMS

When opening Outlook 98 with an HP OpenMail service, you may receive the following error message:
Not all of the items can be displayed. The number of items exceeds the current maximum allowable for this container.

CAUSE

This is a problem with the HP OpenMail server. The user mailbox on the HP OpenMail server has several hundred messages stuck in the Out tray queue which have never left the server.

RESOLUTION

The HP OpenMail administrator needs to clear out the queue, which will resolve this issue.
