TC1000: Unable to Learn Codes from Mark Levinson Remote Controls (217370)

When you configure the Take Control System Controller (TC1000) to learn
infrared (IR) codes from a Mark Levinson product remote control, you may experience any of the following symptoms:
- The buttons for the learned IR codes may not work properly.
- The controller may stop responding (hang).
CAUSE
The behavior can occur because Mark Levinson product remote controls emit
a weak signal that the TC1000 may be unable to detect.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Remove the cover on the bottom of the TC1000 to expose the
IR port used for learning.
- Position the TC1000 approximately one inch from the working
remote control.
- Start the Take Control Editor, and then click
Devices.
- Click Add New Device.
- Click to select a device category, and then click
Continue.
- Click to select Brand Unlisted, and then click
Continue.
- Click to select the buttons in the list that you want
to add.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to learn the IR codes
from the buttons on your device's remote control.
