Saving Web Page as Text Does Not Save Frames, Tables, or Other Formatting (217283)

When you save a Web page by clicking Save As on the File menu and then clicking "Text File (*.txt)" in the Save As Type box, frames, tables, and other formatting is not saved. None of the information in frames or tables appears in the text file that is generated.
CAUSE
Saving a Web page as text saves only the text of the Web page. The source HTML code for the page is not saved.
RESOLUTION
To save the HTML source code in a file:
- On the View menu, click Source.
- In the Notepad window that opens, click Save on the File menu.
- Click OK.
To save the complete Web page:
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the Save As Type box, click Web page, complete (*.htm,*.html).
- Click OK.
