When you view a Web page called from a CGI program running from a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) page that calls Web pages from a non-SSL server, you may receive an 800c800 error message with the following text:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site
https://site
The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Internet Explorer is not accepting the redirection of CGI information from a non-SSL server to an SSL server.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue:
- On the Tools (or View) menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click to clear the Use HTTP 1.1 and Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections check boxes, and then click OK.
- Quit and then start Internet Explorer.
