PhD2000: PhotoDraw Quits When You Attempt to Fill a 3-D Effect (216956)

When you attempt to fill an object to which you have applied a 3-D Effect in Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000, the program may unexpectedly quit.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- Microsoft DirectX version 4.0 or earlier is installed on the
computer.
- You performed a network client installation of PhotoDraw 2000.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. To
do this, use either of the following methods.
Install DirectX from the Network
To install DirectX from the network:
- Connect to the network location from which you installed
PhotoDraw.
- Locate the network folder that contains the contents of the
Microsoft Office Premium Disc 3 CD-ROM. This is the CD-ROM that
contains the contents of the PhotoDraw Disc 1 CD-ROM.
- Double-click the DirectX folder.
- Double-click the Dxsetup.exe file.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to install DirectX.
Download and Install DirectX from the Web
You can download the most recent version of DirectX free of charge from
the Microsoft Download Center at the following Microsoft Web address:

If you use a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer or a Microsoft Windows
NT 4.0-based computer with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later installed, you
do not need to reinstall DirectX. Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0 with SP3
both contain versions of DirectX that are compatible with PhotoDraw
2000.
