This problem occurs when running an application generated by the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) AppWizard in Visual C++ 6.0 with the following features: - MFC AppWizard - Step 1: Select Single Document.
- MFC AppWizard - Step 1: Clear Document/View architecture support.
- MFC AppWizard - Step 4: Clear Docking toolbar.
- MFC AppWizard - Step 4: Clear Inital status bar.
The following error occurs after building and executing the application:

Line: 331 STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This bug was corrected in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3.
