SMTPSVC May Strip Message Body When Message Contains BCC (216160)

The Microsoft Commercial Internet System (MCIS) version 2.0 SMTPSVC service on a computer running
Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 4 may strip the message body when a message contains bcc information.
CAUSE
The message body is only stripped if the bcc information immediately precedes the message body contents.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, avoid the use of bcc information with messages delivered.
