Unknown Devices in Device Manager After Upgrading Compaq Presario to Windows 98 (216137)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade your Compaq Presario computer to Windows 98, unknown devices may be displayed in Device Manager.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows 98 does not include drivers for the ActiveMovie Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG) devices included with your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, obtain SoftPaq SP1335 from Compaq.
