OFF2000: Cannot Use Answer Wizard or Index in Help for Office Shortcut Bar (214788)

SYMPTOMS

When you are using the help provided with the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar, you are unable to type anything in the Answer Wizard or the Index portions of Help.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the title bar of the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.
  2. Click Contents and Index.
  3. In the Help dialog box, click the the Contents tab.
  4. In the left pane, click the Help topic that you need in the tree control.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
