XL2000: Certain Trendlines in Charts Are Displayed Incorrectly (214389)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q214389 SYMPTOMS
If you use a chart that contains a trendline (polynomial or logarithmic)
and you format the trendline to use a dashed line, the trendline may not appear to have any dashes, only a portion of the line may have dashes, or the dashed line may appear to be distorted.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do not change the line style for the
trendline in your chart. The default line style, which is a continuous line, appears correctly when you use it.
If you already changed the line style for the trendline in your chart,
change the line style to a continuous line (instead of the dashed line).
NOTE: The heaviest line weight appears dashed, but the dash marks are uneven. Any lighter line weight appears continuous or only partially dashed.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Excel 2000.
