Create Stacked Column Chart
To create a single stacked column chart, follow these steps:
- Start Excel, and then create the following worksheet:
A1: Data
A2: 100
A3: 300
A4: 650
A5: 425
A6: 175
- Select cells A1:A6.
- On the Insert menu, click Chart.
- In step 1 of the Chart Wizard, click Column under Chart type.
- Under Chart Sub-type, click 100% Stacked Column (first row, third column), and then click Next.
- In step 2 of the Chart Wizard, click Rows next to Series in, and then click Next.
- In step 3 of the Chart Wizard, clear the Show legend check box on the Legend tab.
- Click Finish.

Create Stacked Bar Chart
To create a single stacked bar chart, follow these steps:
- Start Excel, and then create the following worksheet:
A1: Data
A2: 100
A3: 300
A4: 650
A5: 425
A6: 175
- Select cells A1:A6.
- On the Insert menu, click Chart.
- In step 1 of the Chart Wizard, click Bar under Chart type.
- Under Chart Sub-type, click 100% Stacked Bar (first row, third column), and then click Next.
