You may receive a failure in Outlook when you open a response to a message you previously sent to a user running Outlook 2000. This can happen under the following conditions:
- You sent the message using the Internet Mail service.
- You sent the message in Microsoft Outlook Rich-Text format (RTF).
- The respondent sent the return message in RTF.
RESOLUTION
Send Internet Mail messages in Plain Text format or install the Internet Mail Enhancement Patch (IMEP).
