OL2000: (IMO) Quitting Outlook During a Background E-mail Download Can Hang Outlook (212997)

If you attempt to quit Outlook while a large background e-mail download is in progress, Outlook may stop responding (hang).
RESOLUTION
Wait for all messages to download and the message Delivery Complete to appear on the information bar before you attempt to exit Outlook.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
MORE INFORMATION
If certain conditions occur, for example more than 32 messages on the e-mail server, and a large message towards the end of the download if you try to quit in the middle of a download, Outlook stops responding.
