SYMPTOMS

When you click the "Purge Deleted Messages" command on the Edit menu, nothing may happen. Also, the "Purge Deleted Messages" command on the Edit menu may be available even if you do not have any deleted messages.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you do not have any deleted items marked for purging.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, delete the appropriate messages before using the "Purge Deleted Messages" command on the Edit menu.
