SUMMARY

Microsoft Publisher uses the Regional settings found in the Control Panel to determine your margin values. If your computer is configured for metric, your margins are based on a conversion from inches. Therefore, the default in Publisher under Centimeters is 2.5 cm, or 1 inch converted.

If you want to change to centimeters in all your programs, follow these steps:
  1. On the WindowsStart menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Regional Settings icon.
  3. Click the Number tab.
  4. In the Measurement System list, click Metric, and then click OK.
Microsoft Publisher bases all its basic information (date, date format, time, time format, currency format, language, number format, country, keyboard, and measurement) on the Regional settings in the Control Panel.
