XL2000: Copying Shapes Cancels Selection of Shape (212077)

After you copy a shape to another worksheet in Microsoft Excel 2000, the
shape you copied may no longer be selected.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
- You have drawn a shape on a worksheet.
-and-
- You selected the cells around the shape and copied them.
-and-
- You selected the shape.
-and-
- You then pasted the cells you copied to another worksheet.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Select the shape.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- Switch to the worksheet on which you want to paste the shape.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
NOTE: This method copies only the shape, not the cells around the shape.
