XL2000: Error Message: Invalid Rows to Scan (212048)

SYMPTOMS

When you click OK in the ODBC Microsoft Excel Setup dialog box, you may receive the following error message:
Invalid rows to scan.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Rows to Scan setting is less than 1 or greater than 16.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the value in the Rows to Scan box to any number from 1 through 16.

MORE INFORMATION

For the Microsoft Excel ODBC driver, you can enter any number from 1 through 16 in the Rows to Scan box; the default value is always 8.
