  • Microsoft Word 2000

This article was previously published under Q211855

SYMPTOMS

When a Word document contains a text box or drawing object in both the header and near the top of the main part of the document (body), the object in the body of the document may move when you change the zoom percentage.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when both objects have a wrapping style.

WORKAROUND

To prevent the repositioning of the object in the document, for each object in your document body and header, follow these steps:
  1. Click to select the object you want to position.
  2. On the Format menu, click <Object> (for example Text Box).
  3. Click the Layout tab, click Advanced, and then click the Picture Position tab.
  4. Under Horizontal, click Alignment, and then select the alignment (Left, Centered or Right) you want. In the Relative to box, click Page.
  5. Under Vertical, repeat the procedure in step 4 for the vertical alignment.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
