WD2000: Pressing BACKSPACE Does Not Delete Section Break (211852)

If you attempt to delete a section break by pressing BACKSPACE, Microsoft Word 2000 deletes the paragraph mark above the section break instead of the section break.
CAUSE
Microsoft implemented this functionality as a design change in Microsoft Word 97 and later. This design change was implemented to prevent formatting problems that occur when you delete a section break in earlier versions of Word.
RESOLUTION
To remove a section break, select the section break and then do one of the following:
- Press Delete.
-or- - On the Edit menu, click Cut.
