WD2000: TableToOrFromText Button Is Blank on a Custom Toolbar (211788)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word 2000, if you create a custom toolbar, and you add the TableToOrFromText command to a button, the button text is not displayed on the toolbar after you customize it. The toolbar displays a blank button instead.

NOTE: The button still works as expected.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, show the image with the button text. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, click the Commands tab.
  3. Click the blank button on the custom toolbar that you created.
  4. In the Customize dialog box, click the arrow in the Modify Selection box, and then click Text Only.
  5. Click Close to close the Customize dialog box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
