WD2000: How to Turn Off the Allow Fast Saves Option (211655)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 2000

This article was previously published under Q211655

SUMMARY

Some third-party programs that are used to check Microsoft Word for Windows files do not work correctly if the document is saved with a fast save, rather than a normal save. A fast save appends changes to a document to the end of a file, rather than rearranging the entire file to insert all changes every time you save the file.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click to select the Save tab.
