WD2000: Cannot View Multiple Pages Using Zoom on a Toolbar (211334)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Zoom box on the Standard toolbar, you do not see the option Many pages. However, the option Many pages is available when you click Zoom on the View menu.

WORKAROUND

To view multiple pages of a document, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Use Zoom on the Toolbar

To view multiple pages using the Zoom box on the Standard toolbar, follow these steps:
  1. Open a multiple page Word document. For example, open a seven page document.
  2. On the Standard toolbar, click the down arrow on the Zoom box and do one of the following:
    • In the drop down list, click Two Pages. Word displays two pages of your document on the screen.

      -or-
    • In the drop down list, click a small percent view. For example, click 25%. Word now displays as many pages as it can. For example, with your seven page document, Word should display all seven pages.

Method 2: Use Zoom on the View Menu

  1. Open a document that contains at least two pages.
  2. On the View menu, click Print Layout.
  3. On the View menu, click Zoom.
  4. In the Zoom dialog box, click to select Many pages. Click the large button located under the option Many pages, select the number of pages that you want to show, and then click OK.
