WD2000: Word Resets Heading Styles After You Apply Heading Levels (211223)

When you redefine heading styles Heading 2, Heading 3, and greater to
include an indentation, and then apply heading numbering to the document,
Microsoft Word resets the user-defined heading styles to their original
indentation.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, redefine the heading styles after you apply
heading numbering.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
