Additional Page Is Printed with "Error Undefined" Message (211139)

When you print a test page or document to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) PaintJet XL300 printer, an additional PostScript error page is printed with the following error message:
Error: Undefined
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Send CTRL-D After Each Job option is enabled in the printer's properties.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
- Click the PaintJet printer, and then click Properties on the File menu.
- Click the Device Settings tab.
- Click Send CTRL-D After Each Job, and then click No in the list box.
- Click OK.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATION
This is one of the few printer models that does not accept ^D at the end of a print job. Instead, you must disable this functionality in the printer's properties.
