MPU-401 Wavetable Synthesis Features Unavailable with Tropez Plus (210985)

After you install a Turtle Beach Tropez Plus sound card on your Windows 2000-based computer, you may not be able to use the MPU-401 wavetable synthesis features of this sound card.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the MPU-401 wavetable synthesis features of this sound card are not supported in Windows 2000.

To resolve this issue, contact Turtle Beach to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

The Turtle Beach Tropez Plus MIDI wavetable function is handled by the Integrated Circuit Systems ICS2115 Wave Front Synthesizer. The ICS2115 is an audio synthesis processor that uses wavetable lookup to produce 16-bit sound. There is currently no support for this chip in Windows 2000. The audio portion of this sound card is processed by the Crystal Semiconductor CS4232 sound system hardware. Installing the Microsoft Windows 2000 Crystal Semiconductor CS4232 driver enables the audio portion of the device.
