SYMPTOMS

When you add a new member to a group in Outlook Express 5, you may receive a prompt to add the name to your address book, and this may occur even if you previously entered this name in your address book.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you use the Find People tool in Outlook Express 5, and then add the name to the Address Book before you add the name to the group.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, add the name to the group first, and then click Yes when you receive the prompt to add the name to your Address Book.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
