SUMMARY

This article will show you how to set up Site Server Analysis to run separate reports on multiple servers logging to separate log files in a "Web farm" configuration. In this type of setup, it is essential to use only one log data source.

MORE INFORMATION

Follow this procedure:
  1. In the Server Manager window of Usage Import, configure one log data source for the computer. You may choose AutoDetect for the log type if all servers in question log to the exact same format.
  2. Under the single log data source, configure a separate server and site for each of the virtual servers. For instance, if you have three virtual servers on the computer, you will have Server 1 and Site 1, Server 2 and Site 2, Server 3 and Site 3 all under the one log data source.
  3. To run a report in Report Writer against just one of the configured sites, use a filter of: (Site = "Site2").
