WD2000: Cannot Right-Align Graphic or Object in Web Layout View (210566)

SYMPTOMS

When in Web layout view (on the View menu, click Web Layout), you try to drag a left-aligned graphic or drawing object to become right-aligned, the graphic or drawing object remains left-aligned.

-or-

When in Web layout view, you try to reposition a right-aligned graphic or drawing object, the graphic or drawing object becomes left-aligned.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you can align the graphic or drawing object by using the Format Picture dialog box.

To right-align a graphic, do the following in print layout view or Web layout view:
  1. Position the graphic or drawing object vertically in your document by clicking and dragging.
  2. While the graphic or drawing object is selected, on the Format menu, click the command for the type of object you selected - for example, AutoShape or Picture.
  3. On the Layout tab, click the Wrapping Style you want to use. (NOTE: Do not select In line with text.)
  4. Click to select Right for Horizontal alignment.
  5. Click OK.
