SYMPTOMS

When you type a Web address in a file name or folder name box and then click OK, one of the following error messages may appear:
You cannot use an Internet address here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the network.

You cannot use an Internet address here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the network.

For example, when you try to set the ClipArt path in Microsoft Word to a Web location, an error message is displayed. To change where Word looks for ClipArt pictures, do the following:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the File Locations tab, select Clipart pictures.
  3. Click Modify.

WORKAROUND

Use a path to a folder located on your computer or to a folder located on a network drive.
