WD2000: Rectangles Lost Editing Access Data Access Page in Word (210107)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 2000

This article was previously published under Q210107

SYMPTOMS

When you open in Word a Microsoft Access data access page that contains one or more rectangles inserted using the Access ToolBox (in Access, on the View menu, click ToolBox), the rectangles are missing.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design if the rectangles do not contain any text.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, edit the data access page in Microsoft Access.

A data access page is a special type of Web page designed for viewing and working with data from an Internet or intranet--data that is stored in a Microsoft Access database or a Microsoft SQL Server database. (The data access page may also include data from other sources, such as Microsoft Excel.)
