XL: Excel HTML File Always Displayed at 100 Percent Zoom (209121)

When viewing a Microsoft Excel file in a Web browser, the file appears to be at a zoom setting of 100 percent, although you saved it at a different zoom setting.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when one of the following conditions is true:
- You click Save in the Save as Web Page dialog box, and view the resulting HTML file in a browser.
-or-
- You click Publish in the Save as Web Page dialog box, and view the resulting HTML file in a browser.
-or-
- You view the file by clicking Web Page Preview on the File menu.
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel.
MORE INFORMATION
Microsoft Excel saves in HTML using a 100 percent zoom setting. HTML does not have the ability to scale its output.
NOTE: This problem occurs in all browsers and is not browser-specific.
