ACC2000: The Toolbox Command Is Unavailable (208964)

SYMPTOMS
The Toolbox command on the View menu is unavailable (appears dimmed) when you have a form, report, or data access page open in Design view.
CAUSE
The built-in toolbars in Microsoft Access are turned off. The Toolbox command is available only if you have not turned off the built-in toolbars.
RESOLUTION
To make the Toolbox command available, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Startup.
- Click to select Allow Built-in Toolbars, and then click OK.
- Close and save your form (report or page), and then close the database.
- Reopen the database, and then reopen the form.
MORE INFORMATION
The Toolbox is considered to be a built-in toolbar in Microsoft Access. If you turn off the built-in toolbars, the Toolbox is not available.
